Emmanuel Community Projects runs ‘Share A Bus’ to enable local community groups and individuals to access a minibus run on a ‘not for profit’ basis in the Duffield area of Derbyshire. The bus is great for transporting people with disabilities and mobility issues.

Sensible Bit

Because we want to ensure the minibus remains in good condition and available to those who rely on it, the Trustees of Emmanuel Community Projects reserve the right to refuse to hire out the minibus to any user group, or individual, who in their opinion present a higher than normal risk to the bus.

About Us

The bus is operated by a Duffield charity “Emmanuel Community Projects”. We operate with shared resources of Emmanuel Community Church and are based in Chapel Street in Duffield.

The bus is mainly used by local organisations, nursing homes, schools and charities with the aim to provide a convenient and cost effective minibus that is easily available in the heart of our communities.

We are not a professional hire company and we only have one bus. Very occasionally there are problems with the bus and in which case hirers of the bus will need to make their own alternative arrangements as we cannot provide a substitute vehicle.

Emmanuel Community Projects also runs:

Community Meals – these are free lunches (with voluntary contributions welcomed) that take place every fourth Thursday of the month at 12:30.

Massive  – a friendly drop-in centre located in the centre of Duffield for all ages from 11 to 18 on Friday nights during term time.
