The bus is kept at the home of Helen and George. The address is:
Manor Quarry, Duffield Bank, Duffield, Belper DE56 4BG
The easiest way of describing how to get there is to start from the Bridge Inn pub – the Bridge Inn pub is by the bridge that crosses the river on the road that takes you to Duffield and the A6.
From the pub, head up Duffield Bank in a northerly direction towards Makeney and Holbrook – do not go towards Little Eaton! About 200 metres from the pub, the road curves slightly to the left by a lamp post. On the right is a single track tarmacked drive going steeply up the hill – there is a huge rock at the bottom of this drive with the words “Manor Quarry” engraved on it.
Go up this single tracked drive and round the first steep corner bending to the right. About 30 metres further on a drive goes off on the left – take this. You will have gone a little too far if you go past the entrance to “Wood View” and up to some wooden gates (often left open).
Follow the drive all the way to the top. Our main entrance door is not the first set of doors you see, but carry on round the front of the house following the tarmac to the next door which is under a canopy. There is a door bell at this door.
There is plenty of room here to park.
